This past Saturday I did something I’ve never done before - Sports Photography! My niece is on the Cheerleading squad at Kerr Vance Academy & my sister asked if I would consider photographing the big cheerleading competition there… so without hesitation I went! I spent all but 2 years from Kindergarten-High School Senior there, so it was nice to re-visit. And it was even nicer to see my niece in action!
So for fun.. here are some of the shots I captured
Here is my BEAUTIFUL niece doing her thang! She is sooooo incredible!!!!! I am so proud of her!
Attitude! I love it!
This is crazy, right?! I was shaking I was so scared someone would fall!
And then of course there was a dance off.
The Patriots won the group goods & my niece’s stunt group won the stunt award!!! YEAH! Congratulations ladies!

NO - I do NOT photograph children. BUT, I will do it if you are a really good friend & your husband is willing to assemble furniture for me in return, which just happened to be the case here. My good friend's little girl is turning one year old soon & I took some quick shots for a freaking awesome birthday invite!!

Isn't she the cutest little girl ever?!

This post is dedicated to my dear friend, Beth. This month I've had all my friends helping me out at weddings, and as a source of entertainment, I try my best to get in as many of their shots as possible. You'll find me in the background jumping or just doing anything stupid that comes to mind, which in result often leads to some of my shots getting sabotaged as well. Well, me & Beth took some stupid shots which I threatened to blog.. but once I saw one of my stupid shots on Beth's blog, I realized I had to take some action. Too bad she looks so friggin' good in this shot..
Don't get any bright ideas Ashley & Rebecca!!

Heads up - this weekend you will not be able to reach me unless there is something urgent pending for you. Evoke (and me) are moving to it's new home off Durant & Falls of the Neuse from Friday-next Friday. This weekend I will be almost totally & completely out of the loop. SO, if you email me, unless it's an immediate need which I can respond to through my phone, I won't have access to my computer until Monday or Tuesday of next week. You can still try & reach me on my cell phone, but any one who has moved realizes it is very difficult to stick by your phone. Please don't think I'm ignoring your email or phone calls, but I will return them all as soon as I am able to!!

So, tonight I had the honor of photographing my really good friends Ashley & David who are also in the midst of renovating their company:
www.nasimage.com They are a husband & wife team & wanted some cool photos. Another photographer friend of mine,
Rebecca, did some moody stuff with them... So, in my true form, I brought the silliness. And while I goofed around, I also was able to practice some new lighting

There are many things to look for as you shoot around town.. signs

pockets of light

Actually, this is my favorite shot of the day. I just love it!

Getting them cleaned up...

Incorporating strangers is always fun..

And funny

Camera tricks.. a little motion

I don't think I need to explain really..

Awww.. now that's just sweet

What is up?!

Using all angles of my new video light.. I love the silhouette one the most

The end to a FABULOUS shoot!! Thanks you guys for letting me be a part of your new image. I love ya'll!!
