Oh yeah.. not only did I take on a baby.. I took on twins! My friend is now blessed with these sweet bundles & asked if I would take on this “project”.. and since I’ve been open to new things lately, I thought I would just try it out. Turns out I LOVE photographing babies!! I’m not sure if I’m ready to take them on over a year old & I’m definitely not sure about family sessionsl.. but this baby thing was awesome! So, Evoke is definitely now open to maternity & newborn sessions!
I was terribly nervous about photographing twins, but we took them outside in the heat and they pretty much let us do anything we wanted! They were DREAM babies and were so sweet with each other.. Enough talking about it! Check it out!
Also - If you want to see more, check out their slideshow: Jack & Elizabeth

So.. one of my best clients ever, Aeriel, talked me into doing a maternity session for her, which she labeled a “relationship” session so it wouldn’t freak me out! She is so wonderful.. but when she first asked me to photograph her baby bump I wanted to say no.. but since I’ve photographed 2 boudoirs & a day after session for her, I’ve really come to like her a lot! So, I very very anxiously agreed to it. And I am so glad I did! I knew she would want something different & not so “maternity” & we had such a GREAT time! I really enjoyed it & I’m 100% sure I want to start adding maternity sessions into my portfolio - just as long as I get to do some stuff that’s not so standard… which is what we spent about 4 hours doing!
I asked Aeriel about her pregnancy & we tried to find ways to incorporate her baby items and pregnancy quirks. There are some really cute things, but you’ll see almost at the end, a potato on her shirt. Her & her hubby have been calling this baby “Super Spud” since they found out about her. They weren’t sure if she was a she or a he, so they started nicknaming the baby “Spud”. Then I think she started kicking so hard & moving so much, they upgraded the name to “Super Spud”. And even once they had a name for their little girl, they still called her “Super Spud”. So… you know I had to throw her in a Clark Kent suit & a red telephone booth! It HAD to happen!
Anyways… enjoy my first professional maternity session! Feel free to comment how you do or do not like it because this is definitely an area of photography I am interested in getting into more!
Nursery goodies!
If this weren’t sentimental, I’d be creeped out by that troll. But Aeriel’s mom passed it down to her!
Aeriel was 8 months when we did this session - I mean, she looks INCREDIBLE!!!!
I am in love with this location!!!!
Yep, I made a pregnant woman sit in the water on slippery rocks.
THE SUPER SPUD!!!!! Do you LOVE it?!??!
Hottest pregnant lady ever
Thanks so much you two for entrusting me with this special session! CONGRATULATIONS!
